Education
As owners of El Meson de las Flores in Cotacachi, Ecuador, Land of the Sun Foundation, offers free English classes to the indigenous of the area on a frequent basis. To date, hundreds of people have participated in the classes designed to enhance educational opportunites already existing in the area.
Spanish Classes
Trustees of Land of the Sun Foundation, Gary and Merri Scott, offer week long Spanish classes several times a year at El Meson de las Flores, the Foundation owned hotel property.
Groups of approximately 30 people at a time arrive in Cotacachi, ready to learn Spanish on site, for five days in Ecuador. Each afternoon the participants venture off to wondrous sites nearby to practice and explore all that this Andean region of Ecuador has to offer.

Lending Library
El Meson de las Flores is currently the home to a free, lending library which offers both Spanish and English books to the indigenous of Cotacachi. Children of the area have access to over 2000 books which have been generously supplied by supporters of Land of the Sun Foundation.
